Prepare pastry
Break the baked puff pastry into large pieces and place them in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Add almonds and coconut
Sprinkle the chopped almonds and shredded coconut evenly over the pastry.
Making the Milk Mixture
Combine ingredients
In a saucepan, combine the milk, heavy cream, sugar, cardamom, and vanilla extract.
Heat mixture
Heat over medium-low until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm (but not boiling).
Do not boil the milk mixture.
Pour over pastry
Pour the warm milk mixture over the pastry in the baking dish.
For extra flavor, simmer the milk mixture with a whole cinnamon stick.
Cooking Process

Pour the melted butter evenly over the top and sprinkle with raisins and pistachios.
Oven Cooking
Place in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
