Preparation

Preparing the Brigadeiro Mixture

1

Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine sweetened condensed milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, butter, and salt.

2

Cook Over Medium Heat

Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously to combine ingredients well.

Stir continuously to prevent the mixture from sticking and burning.

3

Cook Until Thickened

Continue stirring until the mixture starts to pull away from the sides of the saucepan, about 10-15 minutes.

Preparing the Coating & Shaping

1

Cool the Mixture

Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool for 20 minutes.

2

Prepare Coating

Spread chocolate sprinkles (or desired coating) onto a plate.

3

Shape into Balls

Once cooled, butter your hands slightly, scoop out teaspoon-sized amounts of the mixture, and roll them into balls.

If the mixture is too sticky, lightly butter your hands to prevent sticking.
