Preparing the Ful Medames
Rinse and drain fava beans
Rinse and drain the soaked fava beans.
Boil the beans
In a large pot, add the fava beans and cover with water.
Simmer until tender
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour or until beans are tender.
Use a lid on the beans to retain moisture.
Preparing the Sautéed Mushrooms
Heat oil and garlic
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and stir until fragrant.
Sauté mushrooms
Add sliced mushrooms and sauté until browned.
Season mushrooms
