Preparing the Dough
Proof yeast
In a small bowl, mix the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it stand for 5 minutes or until foamy.
Mix dry ingredients and add liquids
In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and vegetable oil.
Knead and rise
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth. Place it in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise for 1 hour.
