2 tsp salt

1 tsp white pepper

For the Savory Ham Layer

1½ lbs ham

diced

2 tbsp butter

1 onion

1 tsp ground thyme

½ tsp ground nutmeg

½ tsp ground allspice

For the Topping

3 tbsp butter

melted

1 tbsp fresh parsley

Preparation

Marinating the Ham

Mix ham, butter, onion, and garlic

Mix the ham, butter, onion, and garlic in a large bowl.

Add spices

Add the ground thyme, nutmeg, and allspice until evenly coated.

Marinate ham

Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Preparing the Potato Mixture
