Slice the potatoes
Slice each potato thinly, about 1/8 inch apart, but not all the way through.
Use a ruler or a pair of chopsticks to ensure you don’t slice through the potatoes completely.
Arrange potatoes
Arrange potatoes in a baking dish.
Soak potatoes (optional)
If time permits, soak the sliced potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes to enhance crispiness.

Making the Garlic Butter
Melt butter
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Sauté garlic and herbs
Add minced garlic, rosemary, and thyme, and sauté for 1-2 minutes.

Cooking Process
