Preparation
Marinating the Meatballs
Soak breadcrumbs
In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk; let it soak for 5 minutes.
Combine ingredients
Add ground beef, egg, onion, allspice, salt, and pepper to the mixture.
Form meatballs
Mix thoroughly and form into 2-inch meatballs.
Chill the meatball mixture for 15 mins before forming to enhance the flavor.
Preparing the Mashed Potatoes
Boil potatoes
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes.
Mash potatoes
Drain and mash with milk, butter, salt, and pepper.
Keep warm
Keep warm until serving.
Cooking Process
Brown the meatballs
Heat some oil in a pan and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides.
Make the sauce
In the same pan, melt butter and stir in flour. Cook until golden. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly.
Finish the sauce
Stir in the heavy cream. Allow the sauce to simmer until thickened. Add meatballs back into the sauce.
