Preparation

Marinating the Chicken

1

Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, turmeric powder, ground coriander, minced garlic, and palm sugar. Mix well to form a marinade.

2

Marinate Chicken

Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated.

3

Chill Chicken

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.

Preparing the Peanut Sauce

Blend Ingredients

In a blender, combine roasted peanuts, garlic, red chili, tamarind paste, soy sauce, and palm sugar. Blend until smooth.

Adjust the spiciness of the sauce by adding or reducing the amount of red chili.

2

Adjust Consistency

Add coconut milk slowly and blend until the sauce reaches the desired consistency.

3

Simmer Sauce

Pour the sauce into a small saucepan and simmer over low heat until thickened.

Cooking Process

Grill Chicken

Thread the marinated chicken onto the soaked skewers and grill over medium heat, rotating occasionally, until cooked.

Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
2

Warm Sauce

Keep the peanut sauce warm on low heat alongside the grilling process.

3

Baste Chicken

Baste the chicken with leftover marinade for extra flavor during grilling.
