For the Minced Meat (Keema)

500g ground meat (lamb or beef)
2 tablespoons oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, finely diced
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
Salt to taste

For the Pav

8 pav buns
2 tablespoons butter

For the Garnish

Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Lemon wedges

Marinating the Minced Meat

Mix Marinade

In a bowl, mix ground meat with ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili powder, and salt.

Refrigerate

Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor infusion.

Allow the flavors to meld by marinating overnight if possible.

Preparing the Pav

Slice the pav buns in half horizontally.

Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Toast the pav buns until golden and crispy, about 2 minutes per side.

Cooking Process

Heat oil in a pot, add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add onions and sauté until golden brown.

Cooking the Keema

Add marinated meat to the pot, along with tomatoes and spices. Cook until the meat is browned and well incorporated with spices.

Add a splash of water while cooking the meat to keep it moist.

Cover and cook on low heat until meat is tender and cooked through, adding water if necessary for consistency.

Ensure minced meat is cooked thoroughly to avoid any health risks.
