Preparing the Dough
Bloom the yeast
In a small bowl, dissolve sugar in warm milk and sprinkle yeast over the top. Allow it to bloom for 10 minutes until frothy.
Combine ingredients
In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the bloomed yeast mixture and oil.
Knead and rise
Knead into a smooth and elastic dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Preparing the Garlic Sour Cream
Mix ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Stir until smooth
Stir until smooth and well mixed.
Chill
Refrigerate until ready to use.
Cooking Process
Shaping
Divide the dough into 6 equal parts, shape into balls, and flatten into discs.
Frying
Heat oil in a large pan. Fry each flattened dough disc for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Topping
Spread a generous amount of garlic sour cream over each Langos and top with shredded cheese and parsley.
