Caramelizing the Onions

Add Onions

Caramelize
Cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deep golden brown.
Use a heavy-bottomed skillet for even heat distribution when caramelizing onions.
Cooking Process
Combine and Cook
Once the lentils and rice are cooked, drain excess water and mix well.
Add Seasoning
Stir in cumin, coriander, pepper, and cayenne pepper directly into the lentils and rice.
