Preparation
Making the Hibiscus Concentrate
Rinse the hibiscus petals
Rinse the hibiscus petals with cold water.
Boil and simmer
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the hibiscus petals, reduce the heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool
Remove from heat and let it cool.
Allow the hibiscus concentrate to cool completely before assembling for a perfect balance of flavors.
Preparing the Mint Infusion
Combine ingredients
Combine mint leaves, sugar, and 1 cup water in a small saucepan.
Simmer the mixture
Simmer over low heat until the sugar dissolves, about 5 minutes.
Do not boil the mint leaves as it can lead to a bitter flavor.
Steep and strain
Remove from heat and let the mixture steep for 20 minutes, then strain.
Cooking Process

Add hibiscus petals to boiling water and simmer.
Simmering Mint
Combine mint leaves with sugar and water, then simmer gently.
Straining
Strain both the hibiscus concentrate and mint infusion to ensure a smooth drink.
