Chef’s Tip:

Preparation

Marinating the Chicken

1

Mix the Marinade

In a small bowl, combine harissa paste, olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

2

Coat the Chicken

Rub the marinade all over the chicken thighs, ensuring they are well-coated.

3

Refrigerate

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.

Preparing the Citrus Glaze

1

Combine Ingredients

In a saucepan, combine orange juice, honey, soy sauce, and orange zest.

2

Simmer the Glaze

Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

3

Reduce to Thicken

Reduce until slightly thickened, about 10-15 minutes.

Do not over-reduce the glaze as it may become too thick and sticky. Reserve a small amount of glaze for drizzling over the finished dish.

1

Preheat Oven

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

Bake the Chicken

Place marinated chicken in a baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.

3

Glaze the Chicken

Brush the prepared citrus glaze over the chicken during the last 15 minutes of baking.

4

Garnish

Scatter fresh parsley over the chicken before serving.

Never leave hot oil unattended. Keep a lid nearby …
