2 cups canned chickpeas
drained and rinsed
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and pepper
to taste

For the Yogurt Sauce

2 cups plain Greek yogurt
2 cloves garlic
minced
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt
to taste

For the Pita Topping

2 pita breads
ripped into small pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon sumac

For the Final Garnish

1/4 cup pine nuts
toasted
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Pomegranate seeds
for a splash of color

Marinating the Chickpeas

Preparing the Yogurt Sauce
