Cooling the gundruk after soaking helps ease its integration into the soup base.
Rinse Gundruk
Rinse thoroughly to remove any excess salt.
Drain Gundruk
Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Aromatics
Heat Oil
Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
Sizzle Cumin
Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
Do not let the cumin seeds burn, as it will make the base bitter.
Sauté Onions
